Marinol is a synthetic form of THC used to treat nausea/vomiting caused by cancer treatment. It can also be used to treat weight loss in HIV/AIDS patients. Also called Dronabinol, this man-made form of medication was invented to replace the medical use of marijuana. Side effects can include dizziness, abdominal pain, nightmares, hallucinations, fainting, anxiety, abnormal thoughts, psychological and physiological dependence, increased heartbeat, mental/mood changes and trouble breathing. It is possible to overdose on Marinol. Symptoms of an overdose can include severe dizziness, accelerated heartbeat, mental/mood changes and seizures.
